IMG_0351My Take, a consumer analysis firm, was moving into a new building in Westborough, MA, and needed some help laying out their new space. Referred to Joyce Contract Interiors (JCI) by one of our existing clients in the same building, the company asked us to come up with some open, collaborative, and modern designs for their team. Using our website as a starting point, we helped staff members from My Take narrow the selection down to a 4 person benching setup that provided the perfect mix of privacy and collaboration using upmount glass screens between the employees. This system also provided ample storage space beneath and beside the desk, which doubles as a guest seat thanks to the addition of a seat cushion. We worked with the client to choose finish selections that matched the company’s current branding, to help bring the whole space together.
The full space included a collaborative meeting areas, private offices, and a conference room. The meeting area was outfitted with a Global glass-top coffee table, as well as a few Zenergy Balls that allowed the space to be flexible depending on the employees needs. For the private offices, an L-Shaped desk with a frosted glass modesty screen was used to give the space a very modern and clean look. The glass and wood finishes chosen also helped keep the offices cohesive to the main open space. The biggest challenge within My Take’s space was the uniquely shaped conference room, which needed to be able to fit at least eight people while still feeling comfortable and proportionate. A Global Zira boat-shaped table in a similar finish to the other furniture within the space was the perfect solution. It gave the client the necessary seating, as well as power and data grommets so everyone could power up at the same time.
